  • An "AI conversation" is counted once per conversation the AI answers in a month — not per message.
  • Allowances reset at the start of each calendar month. We'll notify you when you reach 80% and 100% of your allowance.
  • Knowledge pages are the total pages from your website, FAQs, and documents that the AI learns from. Each web page can be re-scanned once every 24 hours.
  • Only the workspace owner can add or change the AI add-on. Turn it on from the AI Copilot page in the sidebar.

How it works

Open Settings and select Billing. The Current Plan card shows your status and renewal or trial details. Select Subscribe under Subscribe to Sonny Pro to start checkout. Once subscribed, select Manage Billing under Manage Subscription to update your payment method, view invoices, or cancel.

    Start your free trial

    When you create a workspace, you automatically get a 7-day free trial with full access to Sonny Pro features. The optional AI add-on is separate. No credit card required.

    Subscribe when ready

    Go to Settings > Billing (owner only) and click "Subscribe". You'll be taken to a secure checkout page to enter your payment details.

  3. 03

    Manage your subscription

    After subscribing, use the "Manage Billing" button to open the billing portal. From there you can update your payment method, view invoices, or cancel your subscription.

Redeem a lifetime deal code

Bought Sonny through a lifetime deal — for example, on AppSumo? Redeem your code to unlock lifetime access. No monthly subscription needed.

On Billing, find Redeem a code. Paste your code into Redemption code, then select Redeem.

    Open your billing page

    Sign in as the workspace owner and go to Settings > Billing. You'll find a "Redeem a code" card near the top.

    Enter your code

    Paste the code you received (it looks like SONNY-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX) and click "Redeem".

  3. 03

    You're unlocked for life

    Every workspace you own — now, and any you create later — switches to lifetime access with no recurring billing. That's it.

Good to know

  • You redeem one lifetime code per account. It covers every workspace you own, so you don't need a separate code for each one.
  • Already on a paid monthly plan? Redeeming switches you to lifetime and stops future charges automatically.
  • The lifetime deal covers the core Sonny platform. The optional AI add-on is billed separately as a monthly subscription.

Billing statuses

Your workspace's billing status determines what level of access you have.

Trial
You're in your 7-day free trial with full access to Sonny Pro features. AI Copilot requires a separate add-on or BYOK. No credit card required.
Trial Grace Period
After the trial ends, you have a 3-day grace period with read-only access. Subscribe during the grace period to restore full access.
Active
Your Sonny Pro subscription is active and current. Any optional add-ons are shown separately.
Past Due
A payment has failed. You keep full access for 7 days while we retry the payment. Update your payment method in the billing portal to fix it — after 7 days the workspace is locked.
Canceled
Your subscription has been canceled. You have read-only access until the end of your current billing period.
Locked
Your trial has expired or your subscription has ended. Access is restricted to the billing page so you can resubscribe.
Lifetime
You redeemed a lifetime deal (e.g. AppSumo). Full access forever across every workspace you own, with no recurring billing.

Good to know

  • Only the workspace owner can access the billing page and manage the subscription.
  • Payments are processed by our secure payment partner. Sonny never sees or stores your card details.
  • If your trial expires, you have a 3-day grace period with read-only access before the workspace is locked.
