Install Sonny on your device

Download the Sonny app for iPhone from the App Store, or install it as a standalone app on Android, Mac, and Windows. Get push notifications for new messages wherever you work.

iPhone & iPad

    Open the App Store

    Tap "Download on the App Store" at the top of this page, or search "Sonny Live Chat" in the App Store on your iPhone or iPad.

    Tap Get to install

    Tap Get (or the cloud icon) to download Sonny. Confirm with Face ID, Touch ID, or your Apple ID password if prompted.

  3. 03

    Open the app and sign in

    Launch Sonny from your home screen, sign in to your account, and allow notifications so you never miss a new message.

    Prefer the web app?

    You can also add Sonny to your home screen from Safari: tap the Share button, then "Add to Home Screen". Both give you push notifications and badge counts (iOS 16.4 or later).

Android

    Open Sonny in Chrome

    Navigate to www.usesonny.com in Chrome and sign in to your account.

  2. 02

    Tap the menu

    Tap the three-dot menu icon in the top-right corner of Chrome.

  3. 03

    Tap "Install and create shortcut"

    In the Chrome menu, tap "Install and create shortcut", choose "Install", then follow the on-screen instructions.

  4. 04

    Open the app

    Sonny is now installed as a standalone app. You'll get push notifications and badge counts just like any other app.

Mac

    Open Sonny in Safari, Chrome, or Edge

    Navigate to www.usesonny.com and sign in using your preferred supported browser.

    Install from your browser

    In Safari, choose "File > Add to Dock", or select Share and then "Add to Dock". In Chrome, choose "Cast, save, and share > Install page as app", or use the install icon in the address bar. In Edge, open Apps and choose "Install Sonny".

    Confirm installation

    Select "Add" in Safari or "Install" in Chrome or Edge. Sonny opens in its own window and is available from your applications and Dock.

    Enable notifications

    When prompted, allow notifications so you never miss a new message.

Windows

    Open Sonny in Chrome or Edge

    Navigate to www.usesonny.com and sign in to your account.

    Click the install icon

    In Chrome, use the install icon in the address bar or choose "Cast, save, and share > Install page as app". In Edge, open the three-dot menu, select "Apps", then "Install Sonny".

  3. 03

    Confirm installation

    Click "Install" to add Sonny. It will appear in your Start Menu and Taskbar as a standalone app.

    Enable notifications

    Allow notifications when prompted to get real-time alerts for new messages.

Offline fallback
If you lose internet, Sonny shows a friendly offline page and reconnects automatically when you're back online. Some features still need an internet connection.
Badge counts
See unread message counts on the app icon in your dock, taskbar, or home screen.
