Install Sonny on Your Device

Sonny works as a standalone app on iPhone, Android, Mac, and Windows. Install it in seconds and get push notifications for new messages.

iPhone & iPad

Open Sonny in Safari

Navigate to www.usesonny.com and sign in to your account. Safari is required for installation on iOS.

Tap the Share button

Tap the share icon at the bottom of the screen (the square with an arrow pointing up).

Tap "Add to Home Screen"

Scroll down in the share sheet and tap "Add to Home Screen". Tap "Add" to confirm.

Open the app

Sonny now appears on your home screen as a standalone app with push notifications and badge counts.

Android

Open Sonny in Chrome

Navigate to www.usesonny.com in Chrome and sign in to your account.

Tap the menu

Tap the three-dot menu icon in the top-right corner of Chrome.

Tap "Install app" or "Add to Home screen"

Chrome will show an "Install app" option (or "Add to Home screen" on older versions). Tap it and confirm.

Open the app

Sonny is now installed as a standalone app. You'll get push notifications and badge counts just like any other app.

Mac

Open Sonny in Chrome or Edge

Navigate to www.usesonny.com and sign in. Safari on Mac does not support app installation, so use Chrome or Edge.

Click the install icon

Look for the install icon in the address bar (a monitor with a down arrow), or go to the browser menu and select "Install Sonny".

Confirm installation

Click "Install" in the dialog. Sonny will open in its own window and appear in your Dock and Applications folder.

Enable notifications

When prompted, allow notifications so you never miss a new message.

Windows

Open Sonny in Chrome or Edge

Navigate to www.usesonny.com and sign in to your account.

Click the install icon

In Chrome, click the install icon in the address bar. In Edge, click the three-dot menu and select "Apps" then "Install Sonny".

Confirm installation

Click "Install" to add Sonny. It will appear in your Start Menu and Taskbar as a standalone app.

Enable notifications

Allow notifications when prompted to get real-time alerts for new messages.
